Infection Prevention Solutions (IPS) was formed in response to the requirements of the health and social care sector enabling those service providers without in-house comprehensive Infection Control service provision, to meet the statutory requirements of both the Department of Health and Care Quality Commission relating to Infection Prevention and Control standards.
The company provides a unique pro-active specialist Infection Control service incorporating
consultation,audits, training programmes, staff support, temporary staff cover, development and
publication of policies andprocedures specific to a variety of environments and other infection
control services. Almost all of theseservices can be purchased online for speed of receipt. We
also have a unique Self Web auditing facility to bettertailor clients needs and reduce costs,
enabling the client to use our incredibly fast web audit system and our Infection Prevention
database to produce the full report and action plan fully referenced and up to date at all
times. This works instantly the audit is complete and all you relevant reports are ready to use.
The company is managed by Ms Dee May RGN, DMS, Clinical Director, an internationally
recognised InfectionControl specialist nurse with over 25 years experience in the field. The
company employs a wide range of full time and flexible staff with experience across the full
range of health, Primary Care social care environments. All staff are specialist infection control
nurses and all have relevant infection control qualifications (ENB 329, Diploma / Degree in
Infection Control) and relevant teaching qualifications. The Company also employs
(on a consultancy basis) a consultant Medical Microbiologist with extensive experience in
both medicalmicrobiology and infection control both in the UK and overseas.

• Full Professional Indemnity cover for all our professional staff to conduct infection control consultancy services
• The company is fully accredited in BS ISO 9001:2008
• All of our Link Practitioner course are fully accredited with the Royal College of Nursing.
The Company currently provides services under contract to a wide range of NHS Trusts, the newly formed commissioning groups, remaining PCT’s , Local Authorities the Health Protection Agency and independent sector healthcare providers.
